You'll be learning to make the "12" block, which is made up of 2 1/2" squares of both white and navy fabric and a few 2 7/8" squares of both white and navy. Good time to use up some of your scraps.
Fat quarters will work for the white and navy. The borders can be more 2 1/2" squares or just plain strips, as many borders and as wide as you want them. I usually use the Seahawks green for one of them and the Seahawks theme print for another.
You will need 2 1/2" strips for your binding, a piece of batting and a piece of backing. Size of each will be determined after your piece is finished so don't worry about it until after class.
- Sewing machine, with foot control/power cord and necessary feet
- Rulers & rotary cutter
- Marking pen or pencil
- fabric (which was listed above)
This will be your design after you get the 12 finished, that's the fun of this class. I have even found Seahawks t-shirts at the Discovery Shop that I have used instead of the 12. I will talk about this in class if you want to make more of these. They make very nice gifts, especially after the Seahawks schedule comes out.
