In this class we will talk about the quilting process from beginning to end, from basting to binding! It's easier than you might think. We'll stitch stipples and loops, flowers and lines, and maybe even a few feathers. It's the most fun you could possibly have with your sewing machine!
YOU MUST HAVE A WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF YOUR SEWING MACHINE, HOW TO ADJUST YOUR TENSION, DROP FEED DOGS AND CHANGE YOUR PRESSER FEET.
-Quilt Sandwich (or 2) made of ugly fabric or muslin and low loft batting, approximately 18"x22" (basted in your preferred way) I like using muslin so I can see what I am doing.
-Thread: Gutermann, Superior, Presencia, etc.
-Sewing Machine with foot control, power cord and accessories. You will also need a quilting foot that fits your machine (various names for this foot is: darning foot, hooping foot, free motion quilting foot, etc). You will also need a darning plate for your machine if you CAN NOT drop the feed dogs on your machine.
-Marking tool: Erasable Pen, Disappearing Pen, Chalk, Sewing Pencil (whatever you prefer)
-Ruler or straight edge
-Sewing Basket Supplies: scissors, pins, needles etc.
-Notebook and pen/pencil
-Sketch Pad would be nice to have on hand as well
